I'm Gabriel, software engineer and Computer Engineering graduate from São Paulo, currently based in Winter Garden, FL. Most of my career has been in fintech. I spent about three years building trading systems in the Brazilian financial sector, first as a software engineer at Octaplus Financial Analytics where I helped take a trading analytics platform to SaaS, then as a senior engineer at Octax Financial Technologies working on the trading robot core: market data pipelines, RabbitMQ, keeping things running under load. Before that I did a year of RPA development for Adidas Brazil, and before that three years in IT support and networking where I led a DLP rollout, managed PFSense and SonicWall firewalls, and automated everything I could with Bash and Python.

Doing a masters in Cybersecurity Management at the University of Fairfax, Virginia, and working toward my CISSP. The masters work shows up in the blog too, research, papers, things I'm figuring out as I go.
